The American Heart Association's mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

HollyFrontier Corporation has been a supporter of the American Heart Association since 2010. HollyFrontier organizes a variety of employee events throughout the year to promote a healthy lifestyle, hosts an annual charity golf tournament and participates in the annual Heart Walk.



Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

HollyFrontier Corporation has been involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 2013, helping grant wishes to North Texas Children and volunteering at a variety of events.

Tulsa Refinery

Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Tulsa refinery contributes to a variety of health and human service agencies, schools, and local events in the refinery’s neighboring community. In addition to charitable contributions, employees donate their time and expertise to several local programs. Management at the Tulsa Refinery also created a Community Advisory Panel hosting bi-monthly meetings with residents and businesses in close proximity to the Refinery.

  • Tulsa Area United Way – The Tulsa Refinery is a large supporter of the Tulsa Area United Way. Employees actively participate in various United Way sponsored events such as the Day of Caring and Fire Brigade Cookout Kick-Off.
  • Eugene Field Elementary School – The Tulsa Refinery annually adopts a third grade class. Our employees assist with their Reading Partners Program and provide holiday gifts to the children.
  • Junior Achievement – The Tulsa Refinery participates in Junior Achievement by sponsoring BizTown, a simulated town that educates students on commerce and the economy.
  • Webster High School – The Tulsa Refinery launched an annual STEM Scholarship program at Webster High School. On May 17th 2016, Tulsa Refinery Manager Tony Conetta presented $2,500 awards at the Webster High School Awards Assembly to five students who exemplified academic excellence and the pursuit of a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. 2016 Webster High School STEM Scholarship Application.
  • Westside YMCA – The Tulsa Refinery is an annual sponsor of the Westside YMCA program at Camp Takatoka.
  • Tulsa Tornado Relief – The Tulsa Refinery contributed $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts focused on helping those communities impacted by the March 25th, 2015 Tornado. Additionally many Tulsa refinery employees are making individual donations and volunteering their time through various organizations to provide necessary aid to those impacted. El Dorado Refinery

Located in El Dorado, Kansas, the El Dorado Refinery believes that responsible and involved corporate citizenship is fundamental to the lasting success of the company. Consistent with this philosophy, our employees are committed to providing support to the community in which we live and work.

  • Salvation Army – The El Dorado Refinery participates in a bike campaign for the local Salvation Army during the Christmas season. In 2015, 44 bikes (which is almost double of the bikes provided last year) and a truckload of Christmas gifts were all donated by employees.
  • Dollywood Foundation – The El Dorado Refinery strongly supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Program which promotes children’s literacy by providing children, regardless of their family’s economic situation, monthly books through the age of five.
  • Susan B Allen Memorial Hospital - The El Dorado Refinery made a large donation to the hospital for the purchase of new medical equipment that can detect the earliest signs of cancer. This equipment will be located at the Susan B Allen Cancer Center which serves central Kansas and surrounding communities.

Navajo Refinery

The Navajo Refinery, located in Artesia, New Mexico, is the largest employer in the region with over 600 employees. The Navajo Refinery supports a wide range of organizations in southeastern New Mexico. In addition to corporate contributions, our employees actively volunteer in the community supporting a wide range of causes from hunger relief programs, to after-school programs, neighborhood development and cultural activities.

  • Artesia Youth Project – The Navajo Refinery is a proud partner of the 7024U Youth Outreach Center whose mission is to give Artesia's at-risk youth the tools necessary to become productive members of the community and society through prevention, intervention, and treatment services.  This program, the first of its kind in southeast New Mexico, includes Creative Design, Freestyle Performing, Filming/Editing, Culinary, Educational/Tutoring, and Community Outreach.
  • The Navajo Nature Trail - The Navajo Refinery has been involved in the improvement and maintenance of the Navajo Nature Trail. The Navajo Refinery planted trees and shrubs along the path, and installed a bench, water fountain and butterfly pond. The Navajo Refinery plans to continue maintaining the nature trail and create more wildlife habitats throughout the community.
  • The Navajo Partners in Education Program – The Navajo Refinery partners with Park Junior High School providing funding for various school programs and projects. Additional funding is also provided each year for professional development opportunities for Administrators, Educators and staff.
  • The Foundation – HollyFrontier is a proud sponsor of “The Foundation”, Artesia’s newest bronze statue. Like all of the monuments placed throughout the city, The Foundation represents Artesia’s commitment to honor not only Artesia’s rich history, but the history and foundation in which this country was built on.   • Lovington STEM – HollyFrontier’s Navajo-Lovington location made Lovington STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) gifted program our “Partners in Education” and have been able to donate $25,000 each of the past two years. The Lovington program has used the funds to purchase robots, electronics, wood working shop tools, PCs, software, 3D programs, printers, and much more. Instructors dedicated to the STEM program have also been able to pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Habitat for Humanity – HFC Navajo Refining partners each year with Habitat for Humanity to help provide a healthy, affordable place to call home for many Artesia families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to purchase a home. In addition to funding, HFC employees also donate their time, skills, and knowledge each year for a weekend during the “blitz build”.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowling for Kids’ Sake – HFC Navajo employees show up in force (of 40+) each year to bowl, have fun, show our support and help raise funding for the program.

Woods Cross Refinery

The Woods Cross Refinery is located in West Bountiful, Utah, home to a few thousand residents, just north of Salt Lake City. The Woods Cross Refinery employs more than 280 people with an average tenure of 13 years, many of who are actively involved in the local community.

  • The Bountiful City Food Pantry – The Bountiful City Food Pantry has been providing supplemental food to low income families in South Davis County, Utah for over 35 years. The Woods Cross Refinery works collaboratively with the BCFP by volunteering time, providing general maintenance on the facility and offering financial support.
    Bountiful Rotary Club – The Woods Cross Refinery partners with the Rotary Club by volunteering at their annual “Cruisin’ the Boulevard Coats for Kids” charitable event, which helps supply approximately 1,500 coats, hats and gloves for children in need.
    City of West Bountiful – The Woods Cross Refinery has a long history of working with the city of West Bountiful to give back to the community by sponsoring an annual junior golf program, and actively participating in the “Elf Tree” Sub for Santa Program, which provides Christmas presents for several disadvantaged children.

Cheyenne Refinery

The Cheyenne Refinery is located in Wyoming’s capital city of Cheyenne, approximately 80 miles north of the metropolitan area of Denver, Colorado. The Cheyenne Refinery is one of the larger employers in the region with over 300 employees. The Cheyenne Refinery supports a wide range of organizations in the surrounding area. In addition to corporate contributions, our employees actively volunteer in the community.

  • Cheyenne Boys and Girls Club – HollyFrontier is the largest corporate supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne. The Cheyenne refinery sponsors after school tutoring in math, science and reading, provides resources for the computer lab and supports educational programs in robotics and technology and science. The Cheyenne Refinery has pledged $285,000 to the Boys & Girls club of Cheyenne between 2014-2016 taking HollyFrontier's total commitment to nearly $900,000 since 2009. With the Cheyenne Refinery's support, the Boys & Girls Club was recently able to relocate to an expanded facility allowing the club to double daily attendance and accommodate enrollment of up to 1000 local children per year.
  • Cheyenne Frontier Days - As a Silver Boot Sponsor, the Cheyenne Refinery is a long-time supporter of Cheyenne Frontier Days, a western rodeo event held for over 118 years and celebrating local culture and promoting community involvement.
  • Super Day – The Cheyenne refinery is the sole sponsor of Super Day, an annual family event full of fun activities that emphasize safety and community. Preparations for Super Day 2016 are currently underway:
  • Performing Arts – HollyFrontier is both a supporter of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Wyoming. The Cheyenne Refinery sponsors the annual Christmas “Home for the Holidays” symphony performance and Ballet Wyoming’s 2016 performances of “Cinderella” and “Les Sylphides.”
